Indoco Remedies surges 20% on USFDA report for Goa facility

The inspection was held from May 27, 2019, to June 04, 2019, where the company had received 4 observations (483s). Shares of Indoco Remedies surged nearly 20 percent intraday on July 26 as the company received EIR from USFDA. The company has received the establishment inspection report (EIR) from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for their sterile facility (Plant II) and solid dosages facility (Plant III) at Verna, Goa, as per the company's BSE release. Tata Motors rebounds after hitting fresh 9-year low on weak Q1 show; CLSA cuts target

CLSA factored in volume growth for the rest of FY20 as the base is turning benign. Shares of Tata Motors rebounded nearly 3 percent intraday on July 26 after hitting a fresh nine-year low in early trade after a disappointing show in June quarter (Q1). Global brokerage houses are mixed in their opinion with CLSA cutting price target on the stock. The scrip touched an intraday low of Rs 138.15, the lowest level since February 2010, but rebounded to day's high of Rs 148.25 which could be due to the positive commentary by the management. At 1031 hours, Tata Motors was quoting at Rs 147.90, up 2.46 percent on the BSE. Canara Bank slips 4% as Morgan Stanley maintains underweight

The company reported a 17 percent year-on-year growth in June quarter profit at Rs 329.1 crore from Rs 281.5 crore in the same period last fiscal. The share price of Canara Bank shed 4 percent intraday on July 25 as research house Morgan Stanley remained underweight on the stock with a target of Rs 220 per share. The company reported weaker PPoP and asset quality in Q1FY20, while company's Q1FY20 PAT is Rs 300 crore against an estimate of Rs 600 crore, said Morgan Stanley. Lower margins and sequential rise in slippages are the key negatives, while higher fees and lower than expected other operating expenses are the key positives. Nifty IT index climbs 3% led by Infosys; TechM, OFSS other top gainers

Infosys raised its full-year constant currency revenue guidance to 8.5-10 percent after reporting revenue growth of 2.3 percent Technology stocks gained momentum on July 15 with the Nifty IT index rising nearly 3 percent outperforming other sectoral indices after Infosys surged during the day. Infosys touched a record high of Rs 781.65, rising more than 7 percent, followed by Oracle Financial, Tech Mahindra, TCS and Mindtree that gained 1-3 percent. Gold prices edge up ahead of US jobs data, set for seventh weekly gain

Spot gold was up 0.2% at $1,417.40 per ounce as of 0119 GMT. Prices touched $1,435.99 on Wednesday, the highest since June 25. Gold prices inched up on Friday and were heading for their seventh consecutive weekly gain, with investors waiting for U.S. non-farm payrolls data later in the day for clues on the outlook for interest rate cuts. FUNDAMENTALS Spot gold was up 0.2% at $1,417.40 per ounce as of 0119 GMT. Prices touched $1,435.99 on Wednesday, the highest since June 25. The Indian rupee has opened lower at 68.55 against the US dollar on July 5 as traders turned cautious ahead of Union Budget 2019 to be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman later today. The currency fell 6 paise compared to Thursday's close of 68.49 a dollar. The dollar-rupee July contract on the NSE was at 68.70 in the previous session. July contract open interest increased by 0.92% in the previous session. "We expect the US$INR to find resistance at higher levels. NTPC climbs 2% on bagging 40MW of solar projects from UPNEDA

The company said these projects will be set up under EPC mode and will add to the installed capacity of NTPC NTPC shares gained 2 percent intraday on June 26 after receiving 40MW of solar projects from Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA). The country's largest power generation company said it participated in the UPNEDA's tender for 500 MW solar capacity with two bids of 20 MW each at Auraiya and Rihand. Reverse Auction was carried out on June 25, 2019, and NTPC won entire 40 MW of solar capacity bid at a tariff of Rs 3.02/kWh applicable for 25 years, it added. The company said these projects will be set up under EPC mode and will add to the installed capacity of itself. Adani Gas surges 13% as net profit nearly doubles in Q4

Adani Gas said it sold 14 percent more CNG to automobiles and five percent more piped cooking gas to household kitchens in the fourth quarter of 2018-19. Shares of Adani Gas surged more than 13 percent intraday on May 28 after the company almost doubled its net profit in the March quarter on the back of higher sales. The company in its exchange release said net profit in the January-March quarter stood at Rs 75.68 crore, 91 percent higher than Rs 39.65 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. The Gautam Adani-led firm's turnover increased 24 percent to Rs 494 crore. Adani Gas said it sold 14 percent more CNG to automobiles and five percent more piped cooking gas to household kitchens in the fourth quarter of 2018-19. On March 29, PNB had entered into an agreement for sale of 1,08,91,733 equity shares held in PNB Housing Finance to Varde Holdings at Rs 850 per share, aggregating to Rs 925.80 crore. Shares of PNB Housing Finance fell more than 4 percent intraday on May 17 after its promoter company Punjab National Bank (PNB) terminated the share purchase agreement (SPA) entered into with Varde Holdings for the sale of the housing finance company. On March 29, PNB had entered into an agreement for sale of 1,08,91,733 equity shares held in PNB Housing Finance to Varde Holdings at Rs 850 per share, aggregating to Rs 925.80 crore. "PNB and Varde have mutually agreed to terminate the SPA, and all rights and obligations of the parties thereunder with immediate effect. Post-termination of the SPA, PNB will continue to be the sole promoter of the company and stay strategically invested in the company," the bank said in an exchange filing.
