Earnings impact: SBI Life hits record high, crosses Rs 800 mark

But Boeing Co and Caterpillar Inc dragged the blue-chip Dow lower after their second-quarter earnings fell short of analyst expectations. The share price of Amara Raja Batteries rose more than 4 percent in the early trade on July 22 after the company posted robust numbers for the quarter ended June 2019 (Q1FY20). The company's Q1 standalone net profit jumped 24.7 percent to Rs 140.9 crore versus Rs 113 crore, while revenue rose 2 percent at Rs 1,814.9 crore versus Rs 1,778.7 crore, YoY. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) jumped 26.6% at Rs 279.1 crore, while margin was up 300 bps at 15.4 percent. Rupee opens lower at 68.90 per dollar

On July 19 the Indian rupee ended 17 paise higher at 68.80 against the US dollar as market participants pinned their hopes on an aggressive rate cut by the US Federal Reserve later this month. The Indian rupee slipped in the early trade on Monday. It has opened lower by 10 paise at 68.90 per dollar versus Friday's close 68.80. Simple Wind Energy is a special purpose vehicle with under-construction wind energy project with an aggregate capacity of 43.2 MW. With the same characteristics, Mahidad Wind Energy has an aggregate capacity of 60.8 MW, said the invitation on the IL&FS website. Reliance Infra jumps 16% after agreement among lenders; gets 180 days to resolve debts

Reliance Infrastructure said it is confident of implementing its Resolution Plan well before the 180-day deadline based on advanced progress of its various asset monetization initiatives Reliance Infrastructure shares rallied nearly 16 percent intraday on July 11 after 16 lenders signed the Inter-Creditor Agreement (ICA). As per the RBI Circular of June 7, 2019, 100 percent of its lenders have signed the ICA for the resolution of the company's debt, the company said. Reliance Infrastructure has now achieved standstill for 180 days as per the ICA, it added. According to the RBI Circular, the Resolution Plan of Reliance Infrastructure is to be implemented within 180 days. US oil hits highest in over a month amid Gulf of Mexico storm, Iran tensions

U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were up 11 cents at $60.54 a barrel by 0055 GMT, after earlier touching the highest since May 23 at $60.63. They gained 4.5% in the previous session . US oil futures hit their highest in over a month on Thursday as a potential hurricane threatened crude output in the Gulf of Mexico and as an incident involving a British tanker in the Middle East highlighted ongoing tensions there. Imatinib is the generic version of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation's Gleevec tablets Lupin shares rallied 2 percent intraday on July 9 after the launch of cancer drug in the United States. Company's alliance partner Natco had received approval for the drug from the United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) earlier. On July 9, the pharma major announced the launch of Imatinib Mesylate tablets, available in 100 mg and 400 mg strengths. Imatinib is the generic version of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation's Gleevec tablets.
